Hi fellows!! This is the first time I've posted model here on ARC. This is my  eighth model and the last I’ve built. I built it out of the box. The F-4J Phantom is an aircraft I was anxious to build, because I had the opportunity to visit the Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola, FL  and took a photo with it a few years ago. This is an old Monogram kit, so I had some troubles while building it. First obstacle were both air intakes, because when I glued the parts together there was like a 3mm gap, so I had to use Mr. Surfacer to fill the gaps and that was a lot of work!!

I think the worst problem was the decals, because they were so old that they were yellowish and they didn’t stick to the surface so for most of them I used Future wax to apply them.

I used Model Master paints, Flat Gull Grey for the upper side and white for the under side and Chrome Yellow for the tail.  That was also my first time with Alclad II and used it to paint the tail wings.

Finally I applied a coat of Dullcote and weathered the model with pastel chalks over the raised panel lines and then applied a coat of Metalizer Sealer to give a satin finish. Hope you like it.
