1/72 Italeri MiG.3

History: The MiG. 3 was developed at the early stage of the WW2. She was a quite good fighter but was quickly superseded by far better enhanced models soon after her appearance. Notwithstanding she was an important weapon in the USSR's  war weapons inventory.

The model: I suspect this little kit would be a previous Emhar release, remoulded and packed by Italeri for a second time.  It is quite good and well engineered.  The construction is straightforward and I built it OOB.  Three versions are available with the decals supplied in the box.  I chose the best known one, of course.  The colours used were all in the Humbrol range being Snow White H.34  in a distemper lavable upper camouflage,  with Sky Blue H.65 for the lower surfaces.  The high-visibility upper bands were painted in Signal Red H. 153.

The model was weathered with oils and pastel as usual.

Happy modelling to all the ARC friends!.
