A little background; every year at our March meeting, our model club, IPMS Ottawa, has a contest with a theme which is suggested and voted on by the members. This year was Experimental/Prototype which was my suggestion last year, so I had to get a kit into this contest. I had this kit started so I rushed it to completion for the meeting (03 Mar 2010, last nite) and it is not my best effort, but you understand, I had to have something done!!

The Hobbycraft version is a good little kit and goes together well. I used the kit decals which are not the best, but when rushing thru a model any port in a storm. I thought about doing it as "Glamorous Glennis" but Hobbycraft printed this as a mirror image, oops! Since I have the Tamiya kit in the 'stash', somewhere, I figured it will be done with those markings, and not rushed for a contest or display.

So it was finished at 1630 last nite, with the meeting starting at 1930 and took a tie for third place in the contest so the rush effort was worth it. The turnout for this years theme was excellent with at least a dozen kits, both armour and aircraft. I have got to plan ahead for next year; yeah like that will happen!?!
