I built this model some time ago and used the Squadron “Walk Around” as my main source of reference.  Most of the work centered around the cockpit and wing fold area using the references I had available.  Unfortunately I managed to crack the wind screen while polishing the thing and had to add “battle damage” in the form  of two bullet holes to cover up the crack.

The model was airbrushed with Model Master paints and weathered using pastels and a silver pencil. The markings were painted on using homemade stencils.

Although I build mainly jet aircraft, I found this to be an enjoyable build and could not resist adding the Andrea Miniature figures that I had lying around for some time. These and the aircraft were eventually put onto a suitable wooden carrier deck base from Nautilus models.
