Hi fellow modelers!  This is my third submission in ARC.  I love this plane.  I have built the A-7H from Hobbyboss before, in SEA camo.  So I decided to build it again, from Fujimi, in US NAVY colors.  The Fujimi model, as being old, doesn't have the detail of the Hobbyboss kit, but I believe it is more accurate in shape especially in front and in the canopy.  The panelling also is more delicate in Fujimi which I think is more accurate for this scale.  I used the Aires Resin cockpit set.  No matter the work it needed to fit in properly, it's worth it because it has a much higher level of detail than the factory one.  I also used the masking set from Eduard for the canopy.

I didn't want to make it too "used" so the weathering was kept to a minimum.  I sprayed the acrylic colors from Mr Hobby, H315 for the upper surfaces and H316 for the low, with an Iwata High Line airbrush.  The attaching of the air intake to the fuselage needs some attention and some sanding.  The stickers went on easily and with a bit of help from Microsol they formed on the surface very well.  The wash was done with the Neutral wash from Mig Products.  I used the flat varnish from Mr Hobby and added a very small bit of Flat Base in, to give it a totally flat finish because the H315 and H316 are gloss colors.

I was very impressed with the small photoethed parts in the Aires kit, like the handles and mirrors for the canopy!  I really enjoyed the model and the building.  I am going to make another one in the future!  I hope you enjoy it too.
