This model depicts
an aircraft of the 406th FS, 371st FG. The 371st was a group of the Ninth Air
Force's 70th Fighter Wing, IX Tactical Air Command, that flew fighter sweeps,
dive bombing, and escort missions prior to the invasion of the continent.

The 371st moved
from Bisterne, England between June 17and 29 using both it's British base and
it's assigned Normandy (ALG) at Beuzeville France (ALG A6), until 3 July.
On the continent the
371st FG flew from bases in France and Germany until it's last mission in early
May 1945.
The model is
finished with Model Master Paint, kit and homemade decals.
