Greetings
from humid Singapore...
This
is a converted 777-300 done in Singapore Airlines livery. Thanks very much
to the ARC Discussion forum and the ARC member whose advice helped tremendously
in completing this challenging build. I attempted to source for the resin
conversion tube inserts to convert the original 777-200 Minicraft kit into 300
version but BraZ resin no longer produces it. Instead, I used two plastic tubes
purchased from a local hardware shop, measured according to the dimensions which
was recommended by an ARC modeler, and sawed off the tubes and used epoxy for
extra strength to join the plugs into the original kit fuselage.

The
model was left to dry for a day and I begin the putty business and sanding
down the edges....time consuming & tedious indeed! Then, it was the
usual process of spraying the primer and airbrushing down the colors of
the plane. The next time consuming portion of this build was customizing
the Singapore Airline decals to suit the fuselage. Lots of reference
material were obtained from Airliners.net. Once everything was done, the
plane was mounted with epoxy on a wooden stand and enclosed in a showcase.
This plane was a commissioned build for a Captain who use to fly this
777-300 during his First Officer days 2 - 3 years ago.
Hope
you like my artwork and pictures!
