This is my Esci A-4F
Super Fox in the colors of the VFC-12 « Fighting Omars » in the late
80s/early 90s. I restored it to a desk model from an old build I did as a child.
This « Super
Fox » version is almost a racer (1:1 weight/thrust ratio, 6G turns without
energy loss...). It was used as an effective & simple Aggressor aircraft
before the arrival of the Hornet. The Blue Angels also used this version of the
« Scooter ».

I took the tail carenage
and the refueling probe from an old Hasegawa OA-4M kit. Guns are
suppressed and antennas are scratchbuilt. VFC-12 patch was given to me by
a friend of mine working for the French Navy who also used to work with
the US Navy (of course, patch comes directly from NAS Oceana !).
It is painted using Gunze H333
« Harrier » extra dark sea grey with a touch of blue and black
inside. Decals were home conceived with a well known vectorial drawing software
and printed by FFSMC Productions.
I hope you liked it !
