F-4S Phantom II, VF-301 1983
I'm sure that the F-4 Phantom doesn't
need any presentation and this is one of my favourite airplanes.
This is a F-4S, the last model of navy Phantom. I have decided to realize this version, not only for the ferries paint scheme, but because this
Phantom is a Vietnam war veteran and a MiG killer, as it is possible understand for the
MiG silhouette painted in the tail section. In fact, on 10 May 1972, while flying escort for an attack on a the North Vietnamese rail yards at Haiphong, this aircraft downed a MiG-17 "Fresco".

I opted for ferris scheme because it is unusual and and it shows a false
canopy painted under the nose (only for 1983 version). This “MiG killer” belonged to VF-301.
The kit is manufactured by Hasegawa and it was built almost straight out the box;
I have used Eduard Zoom set for cockpit, True Details ejection seats and
Afterburner decals .
Hope that you enjoy photos.
