This is the
1/32 Revell Hawker Hunter F.Mk.6. I used the kit decals to depict
N-249, No. 325 Squadron of the Royal Netherlands Air Force. This was
produced under licence by Fokker-Aviolanda, Amsterdam.

I used
the True Details cockpit upgrade set (with scratch built oxygen hose), a
metal pitot tube from Master and further scratch built antennae on the
dorsal fuselage and wings. The remainder of the kit is OOB.
Basic colours
are Humbrol - 163 & 164 for the upper surfaces, 11 for the lower.
I
used Alclad for the jet-pipe exhaust ring, undercarriage and wheel wells.
I left the air brake
and flaps in their retracted positions so as not to spoil the graceful lines of
this iconic beauty. Weathering is intended to suggest heavy use in cold war
training exercises.
