Hasegawa's F-15E Strike Eagle is actually modeling the test airplane numbered 71-0291. I had a plan to build up along the line of Hasegawa's intention to expend plenty of Mk.20 included in a kit. But I found the following photo which took a shot of testing moment of actual 71-0291. So I decided to use Pave Knife Pod from Hasegawa's Weapons:D and GPU-5/A from Weapons:C.

Another aftermarket parts was HUD from Finemold and it was the first time for me to use photo etched parts.

This plane was my second finished work since I started building scale models again. I found that there are kits whose parts fit well on the one hand, but on another hand, there is a kit which needs plenty of time spent for correction of distortion of its shape. Most of Hasegawa's parts go very well, but as for this kit, the conformal fuel tank doesn't fit. So I need many times to fit the tank to the fuselage. But it was lucky for me not to find the lack of seal around the CFT of this kit. If I found it, I couldn't help building the seal. Human's life is not so long to build everything. I must prompt to make other kit right away.

This charcoal Lizard scheme is my most favorite for the F-15. I'm looking forward to using it for an A-10 again. Thanks to the inventor of this color and also someone that decided to use this color.
