Greetings from Brazil!

This fantastic kit took me a little bit more than one year to put it together, only because I had to manage it with my job and other projects.

Aftermarket items used were Neomega seat and Eduard PE set (IMHO has everything that you need to build this kit). Oh, yeah! Some "scratch buildings" too… I couldn’t resist!

The fuselage was painting with Alclad Aluminium Airframe, some panels with Alclad Dark Aluminium and Aluminiun, nose intake ring with Alclad Chrome, exhausts frame using Bare Metal Foil and exhaust using Humbrol Metal Cote. That was my first experience using ALCLAD and believe me it is a hell of work to get a nice result but in the end I am more than happy!

Basically I got this weathering effect airbrushing Alclad. Because Alclad is so thin and I used black base, I covered the model in a specific direction more or less as I wished.

I have to be honest, at beginning I thought the Lightning has an “unusual” look… ok, alright… I thought she is ugly! But after I spent two years in UK and built this model, I have to agree that she is definitely one of the coolest aircraft ever! Maybe I have too much British beer in my veins now...
