Have developed something of an obsession with getting ancient kits and seeing what I can do with em. This is Revell's SBD which was originally a Matchbox issue way back in the seventies. All the crimes typical of that time are included in the kit; raised details -where it exists at all- clumsy cockpit, shockingly substandard wheels etc etc......

Any additions were out of the spares box and are seen in the cockpit.

The whole thing was re-riveted before assembly. Any gaps were filled using putty and nail polish remover so as not to sand away all the detail.

It was painted and weathered in my usual manner. I chose the Atlantic camo option as I have a number of Pacific Theatre kits waiting to be built and was looking for some differentiation. Kit decals were used.....thanks for looking.
