Here are some CF-5s (CF-116) Freedom Fighters. The light weight toy fighter Canada used from around 1970 till 1995. The kits are the rather nice Kinetic kit. Many levels above the Classic Airframes and Testors kits. There is of course also the Revell F-5 but those are for the F-5E and F, a different plane from the earlier A and D the Kinetic represents.

Now, the Kinetic kit is better but not without its fun too. Not the easiest build out there. Supports or spreaders can come in very handy with the fuselage. Some parts are rather small (for my failing eyes) and the plastic is rather weak compared to say Hasegawa. However it can build into a very nice build with practice. the Kinetic decals are rather nice too. Many options. The Maple Leafs are even Maple Leafs unlike most other companies decals. There are a few issues but nothing my stash of Leading Edge and Belcher Bits decals could not cure.

Enjoy the photos.
