The model is the
Airfix new tooling with Eagle Cals EC72-142 decals. The model was a breeze to
build and I really liked they had included the option to dropped flaps. The
interior was done as per instruction, a set of Eduard pre-painted seat belts
were added. I also did the radio wiring using fine gauge wire. I’ve puttied
the wings as it was in the real aircraft.
I
airbrushed the model using Tamiya acrylics, X32 Titanium Silver for the fuselage
and a mix of X32 + XF2 Flat White + Future.
The
decals went without a problem and I was very surprised by the quality of the
decals, perfect fit and very easy to apply. The weathering was done with using
Tamiya Panel Accent (black and brown), and watercolour pencils.
Overall
I like my models to show wear and abuse, like it would probably was in real
combat situations.
