A big one. Tamiya 1/32 F-4C Phantom. The add ons are Speed Hunter decals to do a Ohio AFRES 30 anniversary scheme as I saw at the London air show back in 1988. That was an awesome air show. If I remember correctly 28 (out of a planned 30) PHANTOMS on display. That is more PHANTOMS at one air show then most air shows have TOTAL airframes on display. Then they had all the OTHER stuff! Ohhh, if only we could get a show like that now-a days.

I had built this guy back in 1/48 many many years ago, Can not remember who made the decals but my paint job was less then inspiring. When Speed Hunter came out with the big scale markings I scooped up the sheet and they sat , on the TOP of the build pile for far too long. The original kit (Phantom #187) received a new paint job as this one hit the paint barn.

Other things needed to make this kit look the part are Quick Boost seats, a couple training AIM 9 rounds modified from the kit missiles. Then a centre line drop tank nabbed from a Revell F-4E kit. Kind of surprising Tamiya does not include a centre line tank with the C/D kit. There IS one in the J kit after all.  Unlike Phantom #187 which became a bottom shelf dweller, THIS puppy is top shelf on the display stand.
