My second Sabre for ARC. This time the Kitty Hawk F-86K. The kit features great surface detail and fine decals, but some fit problems made it challenging at times. The cockpit of this kit is great straight out of the box. The seat is very well detailed.

The surface detail is also great. However, some parts just didn't fit properly together. Openings seemed too small which I thought was rather odd given the great attention to detail. Another problem I faced was the tendency of the decals to crumple up or stretch which forced me to improvise a little around the tail section. I solved it with the smallest ever bit of diorama I ever did. The only real additional detail went on the jet engine which in itself already was a fine bit of kit.

For painting this metal fighter I used AK's extreme metal. It went on a treat an really looks like metal. Weathering was kept down to a mimimum. Just a few streaks and a light panel wash.
I hope you enjoy it. I sure did.
