Having built the previous Eduard Tempest that was a basic kit, I was looking forward to the new release. Unfortunately, it proved disappointing.

The surface detail of the plastic is excellent, but the engineering of the kit is outdated. As a result, molding quality is offset by crude joints and false panel lines. Most notably, are wing halves in wing roots and tips. Canopy rest is also problematic. Some wing lights and signal parts do not fit properly to the wing undersides.

Decals have  bright colors and need to toned down. I built other Eduard kits with  much better decal film. The better part of engineering in the kit is  the external mount of exhausts and the robust main undercarriage mount.

When completed, the model is impressive like the real aircraft.  Recommended for Tempest fans.
