I had no idea Canada even had radar domed Avengers until a customer supplied me a kit to build. At the same time he supplied a very nice Accurate Miniatures kit along with the Belcher Bits conversion. As it was I had the 1/48 scale kit and Belchers conversion in my stash for years. Well, now I had to build it. Have to admit for some reason this kit worried me. However once I got into it I found it a wonderful build. The only really hard part was the rotating observer seat. Once I sat down and figured it out it came together just fine. I built all three kits together as the instructions were not the easiest to figure out. But taking the entire month of March to build these guys it all came together. Was not as hard as I feared.

The Belcher conversion made the war time models into mid 50 RCN machine, really nice decals too. The Sword kit was built out of the box, but the kit decals were not right for a Navy airframe. The roundels for example are for a modern Air Force aircraft. I sourced the RCN roundels from my spares bin. Not sure the plane should have the yellow surrounds but my stash is only SO big. These were the only RCN roundels I had that would fit the model.

Enjoy the photos.
