In 1955, the Venezuelan Air Force acquired from the USA, twenty-two (22) F-86F fighter jets, to replace the P-47D Thunderbolt propeller planes. With the acquisition of these aircraft, Venezuela was positioned as the most modern and best equipped air force in Latin America. The F-86F was equipped with six 12.7 mm Browning M-2 machine guns, and could carry two 450 kg bombs. On November 24,1955 the Tcnel. Juan A. Delgado, breaks the sound barrier in Venezuela for the first time in a F-86F. In 1975 the Sabre ended their operations in the FAV.

To build this model I use the 1/48 scale kit from Academy F-86F Sabre, the paint is acrylic from Model Master; the decals: some are home-made, others from the model kit..
