The Only one of three attempts, that made it past the scrap pile.  I'm pretty new at this exciting and fun hobby. Of Course being an Academy Kit, It went together really well. With the exception of photo-etch seatbelts from Squadron, True Details Wheels, and the .010 solder wire used in the machine gun bays, it was built OOB. After sealing the Alclad metalizer paint, I masked and sprayed on the anti-glare panel and engine cowl....  The decals from Micro-Scale went on without a hitch.

Lt Col. Eagleston's Mount of the 354th FG in a P-51D has been a popular subject for a while. I obtained these decals from a friend who had two sets.. Hopefully they will be re-released for a 1/32nd scale (CamDecals?) since the Revell-Germany P-47D had be released again.

Enjoy the photos.
