Here is my F-6-F, it
was a dream of mine when I was a little boy reading picture books by Buck Danny.
So, as soon as the 1/32 Hasegawa's F-6-F kit was available in Vietnam, I bought
it right away.

The kit has an
accurate form, raised panel lines and a basic cockpit. As a resin cockpit
of this scale could not be found here in Vietnam. I decided to
scratchbuild it with what I had. I made the flaps and rudder movable, and
panel lines recessed.
To make the paint layer more
realistic, I didn't use the kit decal, but painted it instead. I also
sprayed a silver layer for the primer. For the weathering phase, I used a
pairs of pincers to chip the paint. This technique worked nicely.
It took me half a month to finish my Hellcat.
Although this is an old Hasegawa kit of about two decades, it inspired me a lot.
Best regards,
Duc
