The MILKA® 109

Silly Week 2006

The MILKA® chocolate stick is well known in France, Switzerland and Germany for more than 70 years. The brand is very popular amongst children and adults with its mauve cow (!) grazing in a typical Alps landscape.

Since the Bf-109 is so popular among modellers, I have decided to mix both of them in an unusual paint scheme.

The 1/48 scale model is from Revell, the MILKA® lettering was done by using masks copied from the wrapping paper (accuracy is the key to serious modelling and I always “stick” to reality J). The most difficult task was to find the most accurate colour paint within the FS / RLM references! I also built a fake chocolate stick together with a marmot, which is the star of the last commercial on TV).

This small diorama is a real eye catcher on every modelling show I attend and already won several unofficial “Best of Show” Awards from the youngest audience!

More details of how to build the best MILKA® Bf-109E could be read in French on www.master194.com, the most popular modelling site within the French speaking aviation freaks. […]

Season Greetings from France and a Happy New Year!
