The P47 of the
hunting Group "Moves the Drill" or "Senta A Pua" was one of
the airplanes that served most of it's missions in the skies over Italy.
Piloted by capable Brazilians, this had a hand in fulfilling its missions.
Unlike the Americans, the Brazilian pilots were not excused after 25
missions, but instead they had to complete 100 missions before they were rotated
out of the war. The Brazilian
Participation in the Second World War 2 is not well recognized.
But many Brazilians have given their blood and even life in the effort to
defeat the Axis Powers.
The kit is good,
the assembly was easy and fast. they had been used inks for painting of
car in this kit I tried to make a pretty work, but I know that still I
have much to evolve. |

The airplane shown
is registration # 42-26762, the C1 of the first group of hunting, based at the
airport of San Giusto, Piza, Italy. The pilot was Captain aviator Fortunato
Camara de Oliveira, Lider of the Blue flotilla.
The
emblem of the FAB (Brazilian Air Force) was an Ostrich, (not a typical bird in
Brazil), but during the training period for the first group of the pilots
preparing for the war, the Brazilian pilots ate Ostrich that was prepared in the kitchen of the USAAF.
A documentary film exists
about "Senta a
Pua" that shows the real and true story on
this participation of the Brazilian pilots of the FAB. With depositions of the
pilots of the time and with real images of also.
