This
Messerschmitt
Bf109F-2 became the first German airplane in my collection. I chose the kit from
Hasegawa made as a limited edition for a plane of JG 54 Kommodore Major Hannes
Trautloft. The kit corresponds to standards of the manufacturer and it is good
to use Eduard’s set 48 354 to ginger it up.

Assembly
ran relatively quickly, but painting and marking noticeably slower because of
doing patterns for airbrushing, working with them and big number of decals.
There
are speculations about colors used on the planes of JG 54 but I decided to
believe the Hasegawa instruction list and used GSI C18, C60 and C117 as RLM70, RLM02
and RLM76. Marking corresponds to winter 1941/42 when Stab/JG54 was based at
Siverskaja in Russia
.
