Ok
before everyone screams "Revell don't make an FGA MK9", well they
don't, but that's how this kit ended up. The bulk of this build is the superb
Revell Mk6, the tail cone, fuel tanks, SNEB pods and ERU blisters on the wings come
from the awful Airfix FGA Mk9. The markings are from a Model Decal sheet and
they depict a 45 Sqn Hunter stationed at RAF Wittering during the 60's. The
intake covers are made from masking tape, with aerials made from plasticard or
stretched sprue. Weathering was done using oil washes to simulate wear and
oil stains. One passing thought.....don't forget to weight the nose!! hence the
clear length of sprue underneath.....DOH!!!
