Hello everybody. I'm happy to show you today my latest model which will hold a Eurofighter Typhoon, the ground support equipment and the topic of this article, that is to say the shelter and the groundplate.

The grounplate is composed of three pieces of rather soft plastic that I stiffened with wooden backing fixed with some wood glue.

Then I joined the sections onto another big wooden patch. Spaces are filled with putty for cars then sanded. After the groundplate is painted and joins between the paving stones hand painted with a paintbrush in black, eased with grey vaporized with the airbrush.

The roof of the shelter is composed of 4 pieces painted with gun metal inside. The complete shelter and all it's parts is assembled except for the doors. Then I decided to install some lighting. I took a light bulb that I stuck with brass thread. Cables are then stuck and masked with details representing a neon light.
