This is my Heller F-84F
Thunderstreak built straight OOB back in 1983. The photos were recently taken
and as you can see the model is just like the day I finished it 23 years ago.
This model is one of my most favorites since it was my first attempt at doing a
BMF. I used a product called Spray & Plate. That stuff is hard as nails and
I say that since I still have a full untapped usable bottle of the stuff.
There
is no clear coat on the model other than a light mist over the markings to keep
them intact. As you can see with the close-up shot of the starboard side they are
still perfectly intact as they are on the entire model.

I entered this model
in a regional contest here in Michigan, in 1983 and 84 and to my surprise it
took first in it's category both years. To say the least I was very happy.
When
I have to handle it for dusting (it's in a display case) I always use white
cotton gloves. I never handle any of my BMF models with bare hands. If I
remember correctly, it was a fairly easy build, but the kits back than were
pretty sparse on detail, but it did make in to a nice model.
