This
is my Luftwaffe Phantom I just completed. As this must be one of the most
unique camo schemes on the Phantom ever, I couldn’t resist doing one.
As
with all 1/48 scale Hasegawa Phantom kits, it went together almost without
a hitch. A little fussiness around the Cutting Edge intakes and the rest
is history.

The
kit was built almost stock right out of the box. As mentioned, the intakes
are from Cutting Edge. I also threw in Eduard’s F4E prepainted
photoetched instrument panels and some KMC resin sidewalls I found in my
scrap box and a pair of Eagle Designs resin burner cans.
Almost
all paints used were from the Gunze Sangyo range. In some cases, they were
mixed to approximate the unique colors found on the camouflage scheme.
