D*mn my feet hurt!!
Little synopsis of the day.
Nice hotel, nice convention area, bad fire department.
Got to the vendor room about 0745 only to find out that we wouldn't be
able to set up starting at 0800 as advertised. Turns out the fire
department or something along those lines delayed it for some reason?
That's the story I heard anyways but as most things at the Nats, I canot
confirm or deny the validity. What I can confirm is that the fire
inspector drove a bunch of changes in the layout of the vendor room. What
that meant to us was that we didn't get up against a wall as we had wanted
and we spent a lot of time trying to get out from behind the 8-ball with
all the chaos that resulted from it.
Three hard hours of work later, Teri and I along with the help of a couple
of cool guys got most of our booth set-up. 1200 hours came and they let
loose the Kracken... We were absolutely slammed for like 3 hours straight.
Man... it was incredible. Didn't have a whole lot of time to visit with
folks since we were both dealing with customers and trying to get the rest
of our booth up. By around 1600, we were pretty much set up.
Tomorrow will be
more of a normal business day. Gonna get some good sleep tonight and maybe
I can get Teri to rub my feet
Hey for you guys that are looking for somewhere NICE to eat, get dressed
up and go to Mr. Stox here in Anaheim. About 1.5 miles from the Marriott
and the concierge can show you the way. $7.00 for the cab ride will get
you there. This place is Zagats rated and absolutely perfect. Nice wine
selection and the food and ambience are phenomenal. One of the best meals
I've ever had stateside and that includes DC which is known for their fine
cuisine.
OK guys, gotta get the feet rubbed! See ya tomorrow!!
