Hey everyone. I am
an amateur modeler from New York. I usually work with 1/48 scale, but I recently
decided to try my hand with 1/72 scale. This is my first submission to ARC,
something which I've been wanting to do for quite some time. I built this model
over the course of two weeks last summer. I do something different on every
model I build, and this one is no exception. I experimented with Micro-Sol for
the decals, and used masking for the canopy. Everything was painted by hand, and
I used a mechanical pencil on some of the panel lines on the underside of the
plane.

I painted the plane as an
East German bird, of TAFS-47 Preschen in 1978. No aftermarket decals,
parts or any of that good stuff. I'm hoping to improve somewhat before I
attempt anything like that. All in all this was a painless, quick build of
what is in my opinion a gorgeous plane. Some of the decals tore a bit but
they all came out looking pretty good so I'm happy.
Enjoy...
