1/32 Tamiya F-14A Tomcat

--------------------

Hi, this is my second submission on ARC and I hope you will find it interesting.  I used the Tamiya kit and I add some details with "home made" products.
First of all in the cockpit I added belts and buckles from Alluminium Foil and added buttons and levers from plastic sheets.  I used the kit decals and I used Model Putty to produce the side panels.  With detailing paintinting, drybrushing and washing the cockpit become quite good.  I also added some RBF tapes on the panels and the ejection seats.
I opened only two fuselage panels and all the internal avionics were made from plastic sheets and wire because I didn't like to spoil the mighty lines of my Cat.

The entire model was painted in a "Hi-Vis" scheme like my A-7E cause I like the old "clean" jets.  I used Humbrol and Revel Enamels and brush!!  The decals were modified in my PC from the 1/48 Italeri kit and reproduced.  The model has lightly weathered with drybrushing and washing because I don't like a heavy "grimmy" jet in this colour scheme.

Finally I add some RBF tapes in the landing gear and the weapons.  I hope you like this construction...I'll be back soon with a 1/32 F-5A of Hellenic Air Force modified from F-5E in Barley Grey!!!

Until then......bye!!

Ioannis
