You may say, "not another
Focke Wulf", but it is a matter of point of view. My point is to show two
models of the kind, the one from Eduard and the other from Dragon.

I was
disappointed with my first experience with the Eduard edition. First, because of
the temptation that I could not resist to detail the engine. Big mistake,
because the parts provided are not accurate enough and require considerable
amount of scratch building to compliment the missing bits. Second, the base of
the tail fin was too thick. A fatal mistake.
Fortunately, someone in Eduard
also noticed the flaw and it appears that later editions of the 1/48 Fw 190A
have the mistake corrected. In addition, I exposed the lower portion of the
engine to give the model a more realistic look without really showing the badly
designed parts of the engine. To this, I added another Dragon model here with
Eduard decals to demonstrate the difference between the two. My verdict; with
the substantial pricing decline in the Eduard offering, it is by far a better
choice.
