This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for two different 1/72 B-26's.

The first aircraft is a B-26C-45-MO serial number 42-107733  with the 320 BG/444BS called "My Darling/Agitator".  This particular plane has an overall colour that applied for Europeans operations, but the exact shade of this green colour is a bit of a mystery.  It is reputed to be a light 42 Medium Green overspray of natural metal with Olive Drab for the anti-glare panel in front of the windscreen.  The underside is natural metal.  The forward engine cowl ring is red with a with the yellow tail serial numbers being painted on the natural metal and masked before the green was painted at a later date.  Props have red tips.  The nose art is a sexy topless brown haired girl in a reclining position.  There is also a red and white sharks mouth under the nose.  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The second plane is B-26C-45-MO serial number 42-107542 with the 344 BG/494BS called "Mary Ann" flown by Lt. B. W. Seth out of Stanstead, England in early 1944.  The paint scheme is Olive Drab on top and Neutral Grey on the underside.  Props have grey tips.  The nose art is a cute bathing beauty in a 2 piece bathing suit standing next to a black boulder.  There are also quite the number of bomb mission markings large yellow text saying "Mary Ann" next to the noseart.  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The noseart decals are delicate and two are included for each plane in case you mess up the first ones.  Exacting instructions are included on how to prepare and install these decals…..read these instructions carefully to avoid disaster.

Apparently these noseart decals are very thin and need special care, but once installed they will look very accurate and realistic.  The nose art decals are printed on a one piece decal sheet, so you’ll need to cut the decal free from the rest of the decal film…..patience is the key here.  The noseart decal is beautifully printed with fantastic detail and lovely shading.

The instructions are clear and include 2 views of each aircraft and an extra 2 pages of text instructions with a small bit of info about both the planes as well as helpful tips for decal application.

A very nice decal sheet and  sure to please the lucky 300 people that manage to buy one of these limited edition sheets.
