This new decal
sheet
from Yellow
Hammer Decals includes markings for
six aircraft including test aircraft. This decal sheet focuses on Test
aircraft.
The first plane is a F9F-2 plane #
62 ATU-206 in USN markings out of NAS Pensacola in 1956. This
aircraft has red diagonal stripes across the top and sides making it quite the
noiticable bird. This aircraft is Insignia White (FS 17875) on the
underside and Light Gull Gray (FS 36440) on the top side. There are
diagonal stripes on the topside and side of the fuselage and the wing tip
tanks. Painting masks are included for the red stripes incase you prefer to paint
these instead of using
the red decals supplied on this decal sheet.
The second plane is a XF9F-2
(early) 122475 with the artwork on the nose of a leaping Panther. This
aircraft is highly polished baremetal overall with a medium green anit-glare
panel.
The third plane is a XF9F-2
(late) 122475 with the artwork on the nose of a leaping
Panther. This aircraft is highly polished baremetal overall with a medium
green anit-glare panel.

The decals were flawlessly
printed on 2 decal sheets. A set of stencils is also included as well
as painting masks. The colours look good and will cover very well.
The masks are to assist you with
doing the complicated stripes on one of the aircraft if you choose not to use the supplied
decals. The instrutction sheets are easy to follow and include plenty
of tips and also line drawing to assist with stencil placement.
|
Image
of masks was digitally lightened to show the masks better.

I would like to
