Andreas Gordes, ARC member ‘Goggo’ built the 1/48 Hasegawa A-4E “Rampant Raider” to mark the 50th anniversary of crash of this particular Skyhawk.  Andreas also poses his fantastic A-4 in a carrier flight deck diorama.  It's important in this hobby to remember these events in history.

Gerd Wilcken has brought us a pair of 1/144 Sweet Messerschmitt Me-109F wearing winter camo from the Eastern Front in 1942.  Gerd has done an expert job in the weathering of this two 109's and I know you will enjoy seeing the photos of his models.

Dragan Cvetic has done a marvelous job finishing and weathering his 1/72 Academy F-18C.  Dragan used aftermarket decals to get the USMC markings and then he gave his Hornet a full weathering job to give his Hornet a very realistic look.

Jaroslav Kral is here with the wildest looking A-26 I've ever seen.  This is his 1/72 Italeri A-26 TPE 331 Test Bed which is a standard A-26 fitted with a 3rd motor in the nose.  Jarda did some very skilled scratchbuilding on this model then gave it a multi-shaded paint job and finished it with custom decals.  I love the long nose on this one.

Rob Nieuwenhoven has taken the 1/48 Revell Spitfire Mk XVI/Brigade Models conversion and plenty of aftermarket decals to accurately build the Spitfire trainer he was lucky enough to get a ride in.  Rob had to so plenty of work to create this beauty with a some problems along the way that Rob overcame.  Most of us have problems during every build and Rob overcame these and built a great looking Spitfire of his very memorable flight.

Baran Ηakmak has built a very special 1/32 Revell BAe Hawk T1 /Red Arrows.  This is his Red Arrows Hawk in the special Benevolent Fund livery complete with added cockpit detailing and a metal pitot tube.  I loved seeing 5this paint scheme on the 1/32 Hawk and I'm very impressed by the job Baran did on his model.

Yorktown sunk  - US Carrier Yorktown sunk (1942)

WW1 Events - this date in  1916

Tolga άlgόr is here with the 3rd installment in his 1/32 Bf-109 Gustav Trilogy.  This flawless build is his 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G6 "Yellow 5" as it appeared when captured by US troops in 1945.  Tolga added a resin cockpit, dropped the horizontal stabs and upgraded the main wheels, spinner and propellers before finishing off this beauty with aftermarket decals.  One detail that I loved about this model is the different camo on the right wing due to some scavenging by mechanics to keep this bird flying.  An awesome build Tolga.

Burt Gustafson has done a great job building and finishing his 1/48 Trumpeter T-38C Talon II.  Burt had a pretty trouble free time building his USAF Talon II and he provides the history of the T-38 and well as a rundown of his build process.  This is Burt's 104th model on ARC and you can check them all out by clicking the link at the bottom of his article.

Here's a product article for the 1/48 Bristol Beaufighter Seats from Ultracast.  This resin set includes pilot and rear gunner's seats with molded-on harness.

D-Day - Allied Landings in France in 1944

WW1 Events - this date in  1916

Today is the Anniversary of the D-Day landings in 1944.  There were 5 beaches, 2 American, 2 British and 1 Canadian.  Today's models are 1 American aircraft, 1 British aircraft and 1 Canadian aircraft to help quietly remember those 5 beaches so long ago.

Cyril Worley joins us from Malta with his 9th model on ARC and what a masterpiece this one is.  This is Cyril's 1/32 Revell Lockheed Lightning F-5E given super detail in all areas including a scratchbuilt cockpit.  Cyril converted the Revell P-38 to a recce aircraft with the removal of guns and the modification of his model to get all the details perfect for his Lockheed Lightning F-5E.  His work doing all this wonderful detailing is truly inspiring and exciting to see.  Sit back and enjoy each of his photos.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler joins us with another of his eye catching 1/48 Kinetic CF-5A (CF-116A).  Shawn built this one with a recce nose as it appeared late in it's Canadian career.  Shawn collected the decals from a variety of decal sheets to get the correct markings for this particular aircraft with an excellent end result.

Dominique Dubusse joins us from Normandy, France on the anniversary of D-Day with his British Royal Navy 1/48 Airfix Seafire FR.46.  Dominique sanded and rescribed the fuselage and reworked different details on his Seafire to make it more accurate and better detailed.  His finished model is a pleasure to see and I'm very pleased to have a modeller from Normandy with his model on ARC on this D-Day anniversary.
