Silly Week 2010

This kit was built to my uncle Jorge, who give it to me in the box, & I returned to him last summer.

It was built in middle of a transformation, I was maddening my workbench & started to repaint (and rebuild) an older plane kit for practice; but the real deal was to discover PE parts …!

It an amazing technology… But it is not the simple & frugal task that some would imagine.

For that time, I can not reach a decent seat belt set… So, I had to take a couple of buckles in 1/24, and make all the harness system…

On the other hand, the kit parts went together in the classic Tamiya way… which is great if you think think in realtion to a 25 year old kit…!

The decaling was stressfully, for the same reason; but, without serious problems. I didn’t use Micro-Set; in change I applied Humbrol Decal Set first, because it’s less aggressive.  And, 24 hours later, I used with Micro-Sol to soften the decal.

I haven’t got any photos of the finished model, because I give to my uncle, but I completed the muddy work; as its looks on 1985 Monte-Carlo Rally edition.

Thanks everybody…! And best wishes for this 2010…!!!!
