1/48 Hobby Craft Tutor

This was one simple model to build. Far from detailed. Rather simple but it looks Tutor shaped when done. I used the Uncle Bills resin replacement cockpit which also comes with the ability to open the air brakes. MASSIVE improvement over the basic kit.
The CT-114 Tutor was the primary jet trainer for the Canadian Forces for some 40 years. Canadiar made 190 of these suckers for Canada, then a few more for the only export customer Malaysia.

The Tutor went out of basic trainer service a couple of years ago.
Currently the only user of the Tutor is a couple with AETE and of course 431 squadron. Otherwise known as the Snowbirds.

The decals I used represent a late 1970's to late 80's paint scheme.
114038 happens to still have this paint scheme as it sits in the Canadian Warplane heritage museum. The decals themselves are from Belcher Bits.
