There has always been some dispute
about the shape of the Revell Yak-38, but when completed it does seem to mimic
the original fairly well.

A major shortcoming of the kit is the
omission of auxilliary air intakes on each side of the fuselage which
requires some minor surgery to correct. Color schemes are limited to
blue over green with a hard line of demarcation. Paints were a
combination of Humbrol and Testors.
Some decals from the kit mixed with
some from the spares drawer were used to create a representation of the Yak-38M
portrayed on page 607 of "Complete Book of Fighters" by Green &
Swanborough.
