Odd to think I have never built one of the MOST common built models until now. A VF-111 CAG Tomcat. I normally only build CVW-8 aircraft so that would be the main reason I guess.

The sharkmouth group build got me off my butt for this one.

In one of the photos you can see the past VF-111 (VFC-111) models I have finished. Figured I might as well finish of the set with the Tomcat.

The model itself, is the basic Hasegawa F-14A (Pacific fleet box) built out of the box with zero plastic add ons. Finishing after market add ons include Areomaster decals, which are much nicer then what came in the old twenty year plus box. Steel Beach intake covers as I did not feel like building the troublesome intakes. The last thing was tin foil exhaust covers painted VF-111 red.
