This is
my MIG 29, the Eduard release, so it is a mix of Academy and new Eduard stuff
like the resin cockpit, PE parts and a bonus helmet.

The
build went smooth but the fit is not as good as Eduard's MIG 21 kits. The paints
used are Tamiya (sky grey for the light camo colour, sky grey + dark green for
the darker camo). The coats are Tamiya gloss and after decalling valley satin
varnish. the kit received a wash of promodeller's black wash. The cockpit
however was painted with Xtracolor Russian cockpit green/blue.
I choose
not to put on the belly tank. It is rigged for battle and in those cases the
tank was not carried. (i read that somewhere, correct me if I'm wrong)
The real bird flew
in the German Democratic Republic in 1989. It was part of a Guards regiment of
the Soviet Air force.
