The base for the
model was is the Academy MH-60K kit with Isracast 48-002 H-60
Blackhawk conversion set.
The conversion is
intended for the Revell kit but will fit the Academy kit, the only problem
is the height of the resin tail. After I cut off the kit and install the
new one, it was short in height so I aligned the top of the new resin part
to the kit lines and added 0.8 mm evergreen plastic at the flat bottom.
Not all the new
installations are included in the Isracast kit so I needed to add them
from scratch. The Two nose and tail Square antennas were formed from
resin.
All the rest is
evergreen plastic.
Also two pilots
search lights and the light projector plus various antennas were added to
the belly.
The colors are all HUMBROL and
decals are from “Sky Decals” set SD-19
The yellow V is from an old
local decal that was produced by the importer of Academy.
Weathering was done using a
promodeller black wash.
