Bf109 G6 Hans Langer mount

Yes, another 1/32 Revell Bf109 G6. I love painting Luftwaffe camos. And after the Hartmann’s bird I built sometime ago I wanted to do another one.

The cockpit of the Revell kit is already of a very good detail so I only added Finemolds harnesses, which are very well moded and details are excellent. With a bit of oil wash details pop up beautifully.

I decided to represent White 12 flown by Staffelkapitan Hans Langer in central Italy. Crew chief did not check with Langer and they painted on the Hstab YOU NOT! Like challenging Allied opponents. In the next mission he was shot down by P-38s parachuting to safety. After that incident Langer ordered his crew chief not to paint any further slogans.

Camo is Standard RLM74/75/76 with white rudder and fuselage band. Scheme on wings and fuselage is per Regensburg factory.

Probably like much modeller, I enjoy painting and weathering, I bring a piece of dead plastic to life. I like painting different lightness of paint shades depending on the area of the aircraft. I randomly painted lighter shades in the cockpit, which outside of the aircraft look paler than RLM66. I do that because once the fuselage is closed, natural light barely gets inside.

All the best and happy modelling !
