This is the last of the three similar Revell kits that I have built. I came across some archived photos of a Demo jet from a 410
Cougar SQN CF-18 Hornet bearing the special markings to celebrate the Alberta Centennial in 2005. I thought this would be meaningful depiction to round-up my 3-kite build on 410
Cougar SQN .
I will dispense with the build details as it was very much the same as the previous 2 builds. The decals were self-made.

The usual colour scheme of Dark Ghost Gray on the upper surface and Light Ghost Gray on the underside were airbrushed with a mix of Tamiya/Mr Hobby basic colours. Moderate weathering was applied as usual.
As
the Hornets have served the RCAF well and will be phased out in the near future,
I thought it would be befitting to honour and epitomize the CF-18 Hornets. For
that I had a base built to depict the 3 Hornets in formation flight (I must
admit that the formation is very tight indeed!!)
I
enjoyed the build very much. My thanks to my brother Len for making this
possible. Here’s to the men and women of 410 Cougar SQN, Cold Lake past and
present and RCAF at large. Enjoy the photos.
