This is a Hasegawa CF-188B with Leading Edge decals and a Black Box cockpit. The model represents 188907 which is (was?) used by
Canada's AETE. The test unit for all things air force. Some years ago AETE wanted a more "corporate" look for its fleet. A Hornet, CT-133 Silver Star, CT-114 Tutor and a Griffin helicopter all received a version of this attractive paint scheme.

The only time I saw this plane in real life was in a hanger at CFB Trenton. Wrapped up for work or storage. Is it still in use? You got me, the RCAF does not keep me apprized of what is happening anymore.
I had done this
scheme once before. I figure ten or 15 years ago. But for a long time I had
planned on rebuilding it. The paint job was not up to what I consider good
enough. The red was wrong, just not good enough. At first the plan was to break
off any usable parts for future use. But on closer examination I decided the
build was ok, just the paint job was lacking. So I re-painted it.
