Since there are several articles written about the British Aerospace / Boeing Harrier in other sources, I want to keep my text this time very short.

As a very important aircraft of the Royal Air Force in recent years GR.7s have been operationally deployed in the Balkans, over northern Iraq, in the 2003 Gulf War and in the Afghanistan conflicts.
I built the model OBB again. The quality and the fit is very good, filling work
is necessary only at the transition from wings to fuselage
I added two GBU-12 from a F-18 Dragon kit an some cockpit details.
For the Airbrush-painting I used greatly lightened Acrylic Paints from Model Master and Xtracrylics. Weathering with Vallejo Model Wash Grey (76516) and Sepia (73200)
Detailed decals for 2 RAF versions:
-
BAe Harrier GR.Mk.7, No. 20(Reserve) Squadron, Royal Air Force Wittering, UK, 2005
-
BAe Harrier GR.Mk.7, RAF Hardet (Harrier Detachment), Operation Herrick, Kandahar, Afghanistan, November 2006
Nose section with FLIR, ventral weapons pods, detailed surfaces with recessed panel lines, cockpit with separate seat and control column, detailed landing gear, Weapons pods, pylons, 2 auxiliary tanks and 2 sidewinder missiles
A nice little Harrier for a very good price.
Enjoy the fotos.
