  India Navy Day

The Hawker Sea Hawk entered service with the Indian Navy on the 22 January 1960. Sea Hawks were used aboard the INS Vikrant Aircraft carrier. It saw service during the 1969 & 1971 Indo-Pak wars. The 1971 war saw the Sea Hawk used extensively by the Indian Navy.

This Airfix kit is a very simple and crude kit, raised panel lines and not much detailing.

I had to scratch build the ejection seat, re-scribe the panel lines. Fit was a issue so putty was liberally used. Colors used were mix and matched

Vallejo paints. Decals were self made and roundels from Brightspark.

Over all a satisfying quick build.

And wishing everyone a Happy Indian Navy Day “Jai Hind”
