Kurt Tank's masterpiece the Fw190 is a beautiful aircraft. Revell has outdone itself this time. Of all the Revell kits I have built so far this one surely is the best. The detail is great, the fit is perfect and construction is easy. One of my most satisfying builds yet. And then, the engine. That, was a great build in itself.

I added some detail where I thought it would improve. And for the first time I used an after market set from Eduard, the seat belts. Everything else is old school.

I used Italeri and Vallejo water colors for the camouflage. The decals were the final great part of this kit. Thin and very nicely done, they went on a treat. Weathering was a carefully applied wash followed by chipping (mostly using an HB pencil) and pastel powders for the gun shot residue (gsr for the CSI fans) and other dirt.
