Revell's
version of the Heinkel 111 is an impressive kit. It catches the eye and draws
you in. The build wasn't all that easy though. Some fit problems and the usual
Revell errors in the instructions made it a challenge at times. But it turned
out quite the way I wanted it. Big and beautiful.

I used
the Eduard's seat belt set and added some detail to the inside of this beast.
Revells representation was to toy like for my taste so I tried to recreate what
I found in the multitude of pictures I could get my hands on. This kit allows
you to keep the top open so a look inside will be possible. The cockpit is very
well done by Revell.
I painted the
Heinkel with Vallejo colours which worked pretty well. I tried highlighting with
the airbrush and all sorts of weathering techniques. This bird looks like it has
been at work. The size caused it to need a lot of paint and my varnish supply is
all but depleted. But it was worth it. I hope you enjoy it.
