This is the Enterprise that started it all, 40 years after the original but 100 years before……I don’t know.

This is the Polar Lights kit in 1/350 scale of the “first” USS Enterprise NX-01. Around 100 years before Kirk and Spock. Unlike the other TV series this ship was completely CGI as opposed to shooting a static model. The kits itself is very simple to put together. Even putting wiring in for the running lights I had this guy built and painted in only a couple days. The decals by Acreation took the most time by far. They also really help the look of the kit as hand painting or masking the overly complicated Aztec pattern was not something I would want to attempt. I added lights from a trashed Enterprise from literally 30 years ago. A proper light kit was available but I am not into paying over $100 for lights when I can used old ones for free.

Kind of surprised how large this ship turned out to be. Almost as big as the Constitution class ship of the past….I mean future.
